White Lightning - the Healthy Energy Drink

In one of my recent posts - Monavie - The Final Chapter - I received a spam comment that, for some reason, I did not delete. Normally when I receive obviously advertising elements on my posts - I delete them. For some reason, this particular comment intrigued me and I checked out the website. After some email correspondence with the comment author, I had him send me some samples of their “healthy” energy drink.

As a normally skeptical person, my first thought was “yeah right”. After a little bit of research on the product’s ingredients, I could see that it was in fact a product which had some health benefits, but I also thought that it would not be comparable to an energy drink because it lacked the fundamentals of a good energy drink - LOTS of caffeine.

This product’s main ingredients include the Acai Berry and Graviola, both considered “super-foods” by many nutrition experts and also includes, among other things, Vitamins C, B6, B12, Folic Acid, Potassium, Green Tea Extract, Guarana, Ginseng Root, Ltaurine, and Tyrosine which makes for a pretty-darned healthy drink - but does it really work?

Well, unlike some of my other posts which exploit the negatives first and then the positives, I am going to give you the positives. My wife is HOOKED! As a stay-at-home mom with our 18-month old daughter, she runs after a toddler all day, manages to keep a clean house, and generally has dinner on the table when I get home from work. She is usually energy-less by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Over the past couple of days, she has been taking one packet with a glass of water and has shown a significant increase in energy throughout the remainder of her day and into the early evening hours (average of about 5-6 hours of energy). She loves the taste of the product and says she feels great with no side effects and no crash which she used to get when she was drinking the other energy drinks on a regular basis (Red Bull).

I managed to pry a few packs away from her so I could also try the product and was also very pleasantly surprised. Taking one in the morning gave me an astounding amount of energy throughout my work day with no signs of jitters or crash either. I am hypersensitive to most of these energy products and have a tendency to get the jitters and even nauseated after bout an hour - I noticed no ill side effects after taking the white Lightning product. While I did not care for the taste as much as she did. It has a sweet taste starting out and then a tart taste, almost like eating a cherry lifesaver and popping a sweet tart at the last bite (gotta love those analogies). While I was not as enthusiastic about the taste, I will continue to drink the product because I feel great and love the extra energy it provides.

White Lightning product is marketed through TriUnity as a direct marketed product through a network of independent distributors. TriUnity has other products which I have not tried but do show promise such as their Acai Plus product, which is blended with over 100 nutritional ingredients (great choice as a nutritional supplement), their Feed My Brain supplement which has a mixture of specific supplements which are widely known to increase thought process and brain activity, as well as a new product, Clear Heart, which is a specially formulated supplement which promotes “Advanced Cardio Therapy” (not yet available on retail site but should be soon).
